Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be getting a special edition Nintendo Switch OLED Model right before the games launch later this year. This special edition Switch OLED console with its bold colors and artwork was revealed right after the newest trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet was released early this morning.

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Switch OLED bares the colors, symbols, and outlines of Pokemon that will be seen in the Paldea region. Each joy-con has the crest of the representative schools associated with their colors in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Naranja Academy and Uva Academy. As of writing, this console is not yet available for pre-order on the Nintendo of North America website. Presumably, when the pre-order becomes available, it will be through the usual regional retailers, like Best Buy, GameStop, and others. This special edition Switch OLED will release on November 4, two weeks before Pokemon Scarlet and Violet make their debut.

The back of this Switch OLED has the starter Pokemon Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly in scarlet colors and other designs in the background in violet of possible gyms or storefront symbols that will be seen later in the game. The stickers on the back are placed similarly to how students would place stickers haphazardly on their notebooks and laptops. The OLED dock has a glossy white finish with the designs of Koraidon and Miraidon in the colors and poses of their respective box art.



The new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet offered first looks at the game's rival team "Team Star" and its leader Mela, Brassius, the grass-type Gym Leader, glimpses into the three non-linear paths players will be able to take, and the Pokemon League Chairwoman Geeta. The trailer gave a glimpse at one of the gym challenges that seem to include parts of the world rather that the challenge taking place in just the building. It also included another mention of terrastalization that changes the Pokemon's typing and design during a gym leader battle.




The release of a special edition Switch OLED was almost expected as big Nintendo releases tend to have an associated Switch console. It would also serve Nintendo to market this game with the best version of its hardware that will help Pokemon Scarlet and Violet look its best. With these colors, this special edition Switch OLED is sure to stand out among other special edition consoles.

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Nintendo Switch OLED Model will go on sale November 4. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18 on the Nintendo Switch.
