This raised concerns from fans who were understandably worried about what this many mean for future titles from these developers, but Ninja Theory has reassured fans via their official Twitter account (thanks, IGN) that it doesn't plan on replacing voice actors with AI voice performances any time soon. In response to a concerned fan, Ninja Theory states that it uses the tech as "placeholder content" during early development.
"For clarity, we use this AI tech for placeholder content only to help us understand things like timing and placement in early phases of development," says Ninja Theory. "We then collaborate with real actors whose performances are at the heart of bringing our stories to life."

That's pretty good news for those looking forward to Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, as it seems like the game won't be taking advantage of Altera AI's new tech. Unfortunately, we still don't know an awful lot about the title outside of the fairly brief gameplay trailer we got at the Game Awards in December last year. We know the game is exclusive to Xbox and probably PC, but the title's release date is still up in the air.
Hopefully we get some more information soon though, with the most likely destination for a release date reveal being this year's Game Awards showcase which is scheduled to take place on December 8 later this year.
