As one of the biggest surprises of this year, Vampire Survivors is a top-down roguelike experience with its one-of-a-kind gameplay mechanic that turns it into one of the most addictive games on Steam at the moment, without featuring any multiplayer or competitive mechanics.
Aside from Steam, the game is also available on PC and Xbox Game Pass subscription service, which adds to its huge amount of players. Vampire Survivors has already been nominated for the best debut title at The Game Awards 2022.
Persona 5 Royal occupies the second place on the table, as the game eventually made its way to PC a long time after its original launch on PlayStation. Although some fans managed to play it on PC using Nintendo emulators, but nothing can be as great as a native PC experience.
Elden Ring, one of the biggest GOTY contenders of this year, is the third most-played game of last month on Steam Deck, followed by Cyberpunk 2077, Stardew Valley, Skyrim, The Witcher 3, Brotato, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Below you can check out the full list:
Vampire Survivors
Persona 5 Royal
Elden Ring
Cyberpunk 2077
Stardew Valley
The Elder Scrolls V; Skyrim
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Brotato
Red Dead Redemption 2
Fallout 4
Hades
Grand Theft Auto V
No Man's Sky
Slay the Spire
God of War
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered
RimWorld
Tactics Ogre: Reborn
Monster Hunter Rise
The interesting part about the list is the fact that you don't see any competitive multiplayer games appear in the list, while games like CSGO, Dota 2, Warzone 2, PUBG, and Apex Legends are usually among the top 5 titles with the most concurrent players on Steam. Of course, it doesn't come as a surprise as you can't compete with Steam Deck controllers against people playing with mouse and keyboard on a PC.
