Gears of War movie making the rounds in Hollywood again

We haven't heard anything about the Gears of War movie since back in 2010, when it was said that production was being scaled back. Today it seems the project has new life and is being shopped around, thanks in part to the impending release of Gears of War: Judgment.

Creative Artists Agency is currently looking for producers, Variety reports. The most recent version of the film's script was penned by Stuart Beattie, who also wrote Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. CAA represents both Beattie and Epic Games, the latter of which suffered two high-profile departures recently, both tied to the Gears of War franchise: Rod Fergusson and Cliff Bleszinski.

NOTE: Screen Jems is rumored to be making a DmC Devil May Cry Movie, idk why because no actor can play the role of Dante


Exactly. The same way the Resident Evil films changed from horror to action, the GoW series will probably go from action to Romantic Comedy :P

I'm definitely looking forward to this one. Hopefully, it correctly portrays the game and takes us back to the good days of playing through it.

I agree, I hate when Hollywood goes and completely distorts the storyline of the game.

this would be a good movie if they stuck to the games story which i hope they do loved the games and cant wait for this :)

Sounds like a good idea, however they're going to hollywoodize it. Then, they're most likely going to skip parts and it may end up being a disaster. I hope it happens, I also hope they follow along the original story line.
