Minecraft is the first Arcade game to top weekly Xbox Live activity

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has knocked Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from the top of the weekly Xbox Live activity charts.

According to Edge, it's the first Arcade game to garner the most unique users over retail titles.
Minecraft recently surpassed four million sales on Xbox 360. CVG said in it's 9/10 Minecraft: Xbox 360 review: "Whether you're mining, crafting, building, or fighting - either alone, or with friends - there's nothing quite like Minecraft. An accomplished, streamlined port that's a perfect fit for Xbox 360."

AAH I love how this happens AFTER the creative mode implementation.

People are going nuts over it, Mw3 has held the top for months.. once people run out of things to build MW3 will take it back for a little bit till Black Ops 2 comes out.

Sad but true.

I don't really think so, first off, it's kind of hard to run out of things to build in mc, as the game has limitless possibilities. Also, mw3 has been dying out for a while now, at least with my group of friends and people I talk to, but obviously Black Ops 2 will be the most played for a while though.

You will never run out of stuff and I think if they fall under top 10 they will make the game modable by supporting programs for it of some crap. I think thats how this will be they will half to fight hard to knock BO2 down.

Mortar That is quite an accomplishment indeed, good on them. It is a great game and well deserving the top spot. Now to see how long it can stay there.

i for one will be contributing to cod again when my internet will actually go above .5mbs :( but until then ill probably help minecraft,ps nobody buy windstream's internet.its absolutely pathetic!

i only have 6mbps and i never lag so i dont know what the hell you're complaining about
p.s. i usually run a DL of around 4mbps.

i have their 3mbs service,and for some reason they wont allow me to upgrade even though their 6-12 mbs service runs through the same copper lines!this last week my speed was lucky to reach .3 so i called windstrem and it took them an hour to conclude that there was infact a problem....ill be calling them again this week because it still unbelievably slow.ill be changing to verizon or any other cable company the day they come to my house.ps. we have 2 gamers in this house with about 5 pcs on normally,so i need more even when it is working correctly,but if your a single person that doesnt mind intermittent problems then windstream is good.
