Halo Infinite Leak Shows Campaign AI Added To Forge

3.4
The Forge mode of Halo Infinite might finally be getting the long-awaited campaign AI feature. Recent leaks indicate that 343 Industries has implemented the long-awaited feature to the Forge mode.

According to recent leaks, the Forge mode is finally getting the campaign AI treatment. The recent videos and images shared by Rebs Gaming show AI units spawning in the Forge. While the lead designer Michael Shorr did share that they had been working on the mode for some time now, the recent leaks show that the mode is almost ready.

Despite delays and the long wait, the highly anticipated Forge mode landed on Halo Infinite back in November 2022. While this mod has been an integral part of the Halo series in the past, it has been available in Halo Infinite only for a few months, but it has been very effective so far in providing the retention boost that Halo Infinite very much needed, giving players the ability to delve into various creative endeavors. Especially considering Halo Infinite's lackluster post-launch journey, the recent mode seems to have been a major step in the right direction.

343 Industries is hoping for the new AI system to do wonders for the deteriorating state of Halo Infinite's multiplayer. Considering that the community welcomed the Forge mode with great enthusiasm, the highly requested campaign AI may increase the number of active players in the game once it rolls out.

After releasing Halo Infinite Forge, the lead engineer of the mode, Josh Hoide, said that the team is seeing "really cool stuff coming out from the community," despite the community not having access to the developer tools from day one. Now, thanks to the campaign AI feature, players will get to tailor single-player experiences for themselves by adding enemies from Halo Infinite's single-player campaign. It is worth noting that there is no word on the release of the Forge AI update.

It is safe to say that this will be another lifeline for Halo Infinite's player numbers. With the ability to add AI units to the custom maps, Halo Infinite players can create some of the most iconic maps of the Halo series. Thanks to the mode's flexibility, a player even recreated Silent Hill's P.T. in the game. And now that the developers have added the community-made maps to the matchmaking rotation, brighter days should be ahead of 343 Industries' troubled FPS.

Sounds good fun! Shame the updates are coming out so much later than the release of the game... I uninstalled ages ago. Who can afford to leave the harddrive space on consoles filled by completed games these days?
