Microsoft will reward those who play 140+ hours of Halo 4 this month

If you've got the stamina and/or time to run up 140+ hours on Halo 4's multiplayer before November 30, then you'll get 600 Microsoft Points for your efforts.

As part of Xbox Live Rewards, Halo 4 players are encouraged to spend as much time with the game as possible in order to score free credit. Over 70 hours will gain you 300 MS points, while more than 35 hours will get you 100.
That means if you're aiming for the 140+ mark, you'll need to play Halo 4 for six hours a day until November 30. That may be achievable if you don't have a job or go to school, but for many of us, it's just a dream. Or a nightmare.

zeke157 huh, i wonder when then say "140+ hours on Halo 4's multiplayer" meaning the actual "IN-GAME" time you play counts or just sitting about on the main menu. Since it might be impossible to reach that 140 mark...unless you don't have a job or school...


As long as you're in the menu, it's fine. It would be way to hard to get 140 hours while in an actual game because the average game lasts for 10 minutes.


so you could just leave your xbox on for 5 days and 20 hours on main menu? its not worth it anyway, only 600 microsoft points for putting your xbox at risk of rrod and also if you are actually playing the game for all of these hours then no wonder the world is such a ****** up place. im sure it says somewhere on the xbox manuals to play on the xbox for only a certian amount of time and then have a break?



get outta here my xbox is on from the early morning till past midnight everyday and i've havent gotten the red rings you just have a crappy xbox then i've only had the red rings 1 time and that was 2 years ago

They won't do, they're doing this to try and get you to stay away from black ops 2 as 343 industries is Microsoft so they will want to sell as many copies of halo 4 as possible.

wow i have played xbox for 4 years and the only thing microsoft has done for me is change my bio to code of conduct loyalty means nothing these days
