Vampire Survivors: Tides Of The Foscari DLC Revealed

4.3
A brand new story set in the wooded lands and rolling hills of Western Europe will be added to Vampire Survivors with its second expansion on April 13, entitled Tides of the Foscari. After the Moonspell Clan DLC themed around the alps of Japan, developer Poncle will take players on a continent-size forest filled with magical beasts, demons, demi-humans, and survivors.

Despite the abundance of content included in the DLC, it will be available for $1.99 on Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC via Steam. A roster of character archetypes will be added, including the skilled magic user Eleanor and the ancient witch Luminaire. Keitha, known for her levity, and Maruto, the undefeated champion of The Crimson Anvil, are among the new characters coming with the expansion. In addition, thirteen new weapons ranging from prismatic missiles to hand-crafted arrows will be at players' disposal.

As its name implies, the DLC is purely based on the Fostari Academy, a school where the next generations of warriors and leaders are trained. Parents of the world's elite send their children to the academy to discover what profession they are suitable for, including wizard, general, or spy. This creepy school is divided into three houses, each hosting a fantastic story that features mythological creatures, magical beasts, and brave hunters. The DLC also brings a new architectural style inspired by cultures across the world.

Players will explore Lake Foscari, an all-new stage with adventure mysteries and mythological entities. Lastly, the Tides of the Foscari DLC brings with it seven new music tracks to hype up the excitement in the green lands of Europe. Developer Poncle said it was heavily inspired by European tales and folklore to design venues and characters. "Here, the barrier between worlds is perilously thin, but there are those who traverse the woods to reach what lies at its center: The Foscari Academy." Beth Molloy, community manager at Poncle, said via Xbox Wire.

Vampire Survivors surprisingly walked away with the Best Game award at this year's BAFTA Game Awards, beating Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok, which won six awards out of its fifteen nominations.
