According to Ubisoft, this behavior by players results in high latency on game servers, which makes the game unenjoyable and even unplayable in some cases. While the publisher doesn't reveal anything about fixing the exploit, it does mention that its team has been monitoring player behaviors, and those who are benefiting from this exploit will be banned for two weeks for a first offense. In case players start to exploit the game mechanics again after getting unbanned, they could receive a permanent ban.

Exploits have always been a big issue for MMO titles and any game that requires a significant amount of grind in general. However, the fact that The Division 2 exploiters are making the servers manage an excessive load of data and making the game hard to play for others isn't something that Ubisoft can easily ignore.
The Division 2 Season 11 content was released in February. With the arrival of the Reign of Fire, Ubisoft introduced four new targets as well as a new Prime Target. As we get closer to the end of the season, more targets will be unlocked. In May, players will be able to take down the prime target Stovepipe. Aside from new targets, Season 11 also delivers new exotic weapons and gears as well as a new Battle Pass with many cosmetic items that you can unlock by making progress through the missions and challenges.
Despite its rough launch back in 2019, The Division 2 has received continuous support from Ubisoft after its release. The game also got a new expansion, Warlords of New York, back in 2020. For now, we know that the game will be supported until at least the end of the current year, but it remains unknown what will happen to The Division 2 beyond 2023.
