FaZe Clan Reveals Snoop Dogg is Leaving

4.1
FaZe Clan has made the surprise announcement that Snoop Dogg is exiting its Board of Directors. The news comes a year after the legendary entertainer intrigued fans by his reveal that he would be joining the eSports group.

Snoop Dogg may not be the first person to come to mind when thinking about eSports, but the rapper is no stranger to gaming. Snoop Dogg's Twitch streams have been fun for his fans to watch, and have produced some funny moments that have been reposted across social media platforms.

The news came from FaZe Holdings Inc. in the form of a United States Securities and Exchange Commission filing, which notes that Snoop Dogg indicated that he was resigning from FaZe Clan, effective immediately as of March 29. The exact reasons behind his departure haven't been revealed by FaZe or Snoop Dogg, though the filing seemed to indicate that there was no bad blood between them. However, some have speculated that it may have something to do with FaZe Clan's current financial situation.

Several eSports groups in general have been experiencing some financial difficulties, with The Guard even looking to sell off the Los Angeles Gladiators and the LA Guerillas. The future of FaZe Clan itself is uncertain, as it is having some problems of its own. Back in August 2022, FaZe Holdings Inc.'s stock price was doing quite well, peaking at about $20 per share. Now, however, the stock has plummeted, with the shares currently worth $0.50 at the time of writing. Part of the agreement for Snoop Dogg joining FaZe's Board of Directors was receiving a significant amount of shares in FaZe Holdings Inc., which would be worth considerably less at this time.

Snoop Dogg's departure from FaZe Clan's Board of Directors may concern some regarding FaZe Clan's future. However, Snoop Dogg fans don't have much to worry about. It's unlikely that this partnership is the last time that Snoop Dogg's influence in gaming will be felt. Shortly after the reveal of his partnership with FaZe, it was announced that Snoop would be coming to Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone. He was also featured in Call of Duty Mobile during the holiday season. Outside official collaborations, fans have even recreated Snoop Dogg in games like Elden Ring.

Meanwhile, the eSports group is dealing with the threat of FaZe Holdings being removed from the Nasdaq exchange. Snoop Dogg's exit from FaZe likely won't have a negative impact for him, but the future of FaZe Clan is unsure and worrisome for its fans.

Frog This is such a strange article / situation.

juno there wasn't a point of him joining, he's better off by himself doing what he does he will bring in the viewers for himself.

The article suggests he only joined really as he was making money through doing so. "Part of the agreement for Snoop Dogg joining FaZe's Board of Directors was receiving a significant amount of shares in FaZe Holdings Inc." And now the money has dried up.

pretty sad, Snoop has enough money for his entire life. There biggest downfall was allowing him to join..
