FaZe Clan has made the surprise announcement that Snoop Dogg is exiting its Board of Directors. The news comes a year after the legendary entertainer intrigued fans by his reveal that he would be joining the eSports group.

The news came from FaZe Holdings Inc. in the form of a United States Securities and Exchange Commission filing, which notes that Snoop Dogg indicated that he was resigning from FaZe Clan, effective immediately as of March 29. The exact reasons behind his departure haven't been revealed by FaZe or Snoop Dogg, though the filing seemed to indicate that there was no bad blood between them. However, some have speculated that it may have something to do with FaZe Clan's current financial situation.



Several eSports groups in general have been experiencing some financial difficulties, with The Guard even looking to sell off the Los Angeles Gladiators and the LA Guerillas.
