While dislikes are normally hidden from Youtube, a simple download of a Google Chrome extension can make them visible, and they are currently sitting at 4.4k at the time of writing. Regarding the aspect of performance, a user by the name of US War Machine has provided a 'highly comprehensive analysis' of the events that transpired in the video, serving as an exemplary – and very humorous– summary of the situation at hand. The comment reads:
"Why are you fighting a giant boss inside a cramped house? Why are you now running away from the boss, and shooting adds while your team gets killed? Why are you lock-picking a door mid-combat instead of rezzing teammates? Why are you throwing your translocator and then not using it? Why are you sniping an enemy 3 feet in front of you? Why did you take the killing blow when you barely contributed anything?"
Unfortunately, all of this could be seen very clearly in the video, and other users chimed in with more problems, such as the player missing shots against a boss that is walking in a straight line, and pulling a sniper literally in front of the boss. While we are not writing this to make fun of a fellow journalist, we have to admit, as many have pointed out, that it's just not a good example of how to promote a game a month before its official release.
A lot of users also complained about how the game feels downright unfinished. User JMaine518, for example, hated the static nature of the map and the lack of environmental destruction or physics that would add a sense of vitality to the action. Others said that the game appeared to be in its early alpha stages and lacked any soul or a sense of direction - sentiments that underscore how much of an impact a single trailer can have on the public's perception of a game (as was previously proven with Final Fantasy 16's environment trailer).
