Bookies tip Black Ops 2 for Christmas No.1

Bookies Paddy Power and Ladbrokes have revealed their odds for this year's contenders for the UK Christmas No.1 chart spot.

Both firms told MCV they make Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 the favourite, ahead of FIFA 13 and the likes of New Super Mario Bros U, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Assassin's Creed 3 and Halo 4.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "It would be one of the upsets of the year if Black Ops didn't land the top spot this Christmas."

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim claimed the Christmas No.1 spot last year, marking the first time in eight years the Xmas top spot didn't go to an EA or Activision game.

KillaAl117 Black ops 2 obviously comes first because of all the hype a cod game gets. All this hype for nothing because in a month everyones gunna be saying how gay it is. I honestly think that activision pays these reviewers and whoever these people are to rate their games high.

IMO halo 4 should be in first due to how the game was played out. Only bad thing so far about it is its lack of maps besides that its perfect.

I agree, neither Halo or CoD should get top spot. It should be more like Assassin's Creed III, MoH: Warfighter, NFS Most Wanted, or the new Hitman game. Those are the games that truly deserve the top spot. But sadly, these odds will be true... CoD will be the most bought game for Christmas, and none of us will have the power to stop that.

Plus its not a multi-platform game.


exactly, some of the other games on muti-platform target a bigger audience and increasing the "want" rate... not everyone has an xbox to get halo
