Hi-Fi Rush – Xbox Exec Denies Reports of Low Sales

Instantly upon its surprise announcement and simultaneous release earlier this year, Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush was met with widespread praise, though recent reports suggested that commercially, the game hadn’t fared as well. But while it’s been claimed that the rhythm action title failed to meet Microsoft’s commercial expectations, it seems that may not have been entirely accurate.

Responding to said claims, VP of Xbox Game Marketing Aaron Greenberg recently took to Twitter and said that Microsoft “couldn’t be happier” with how Hi-Fi Rush has done, and that the company considers it to be a success “in all key measurements and expectations.”

“Hi-Fi Rush was a breakout hit for us and our players in all key measurements and expectations,” Greenberg wrote. “We couldn’t be happier with what the team at Tango Gameworks delivered with this surprise release.”

Earlier this year, Bethesda revealed that Hi-Fi Rush had attracted over two million players.

Hi-Fi Rush is available on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
