Jedi: Survivor’s UK launch sales were up over 30% on Fallen Order

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor’s launch sales were over 30% greater than its predecessor, Fallen Order, in the UK.

That’s according to new digital sales data shared by journalist Christopher Dring, which reveals that Survivor’s digital performance accounted for almost double what Fallen Order managed back in 2019.

This is expected, since digital adoption has accelerated significantly since Fallen Order was released back in 2019. However, it should be noted that Survivor retailed for £10/$10 more than its predecessor.

Previously, physical sales data showed that Survivor was the second biggest launch of the year in the UK. However, its boxed sales were 35% lower than what its predecessor managed.

82% of Survivor’s physical launch sales were on PS5, while 18% were on Xbox, which is likely due to the popularity of digital on the latter.

Charts company GfK recently revealed the UK’s best-selling Star Wars games ever.

The biggest physical Star Wars game was 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront, which GfK says sold more than double the previous biggest Star Wars game, 2008’s The Force Unleashed, during its launch period.

EA’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is in eighth place. However, it’s noted that the title would likely have placed higher if digital data was included, since modern titles skew less towards physical sales.
