Future looking bad for Zynga

4.6
Things are looking bleak for the primarily Facebook orientated games developer Zynga.

In the last year the troubled company has had to deal with some high profile execs resigning from the company, laying off 5 percent of their staff and the closure of their Boston Studio. They've also had to close down 13 of their least popular games, which recently had Mafia Wars 2 added to the list.

As well as news that the companies share price has plummeted by 73 percent since the company started trading publicly.

All this has been too much for Zynga CEO, Mark Pincus who was reportedly close to tears during a meeting with company investors. Pincus has placed the blame for Zynga's downfall to a "rapid change in player habits."

Zynga seem to have now changed their focus more towards mobile gaming and gambling.

Why would you build a company around a fad anyway? Stupid really.
