SOE bring down the ban hammer on Planetside 2 cheaters

Sony Online Entertainment president, John Smedley has gotten very serious regarding the cheaters occuring in Planetside 2. Using his personal Twitter account to tweet out:

“Haruhi at *link censored* was just banned. all 3 of his accounts. Goodbye you scumbag. Find a new hobby or get good at the game.“

and had previously tweeted:

“we have guys who's purpose in life is to ban the bad guys and dumb****s that use hacking tools.”

As with other FPS' these days, there are always cheaters that are ruining the game for other players. Players in the forums are busy talking about their own experiences with hackers and people using aimbots.

Hopefully SOE will soon have the situation under control before Planetside 2 user's get frustrated and go somewhere else...

Dedicated servers with dev tools/mod tools. I've been saying it since forever. You will never stop hackers/cheaters so just give them the tools to do it but on their own p2p servers, it's the only way to save normal fps players from coming into contact with them.

im glad they're taking action. i play Planetside 2 and its getting frustrating seeing other players running at crazy speeds, not taking any damage after having a clip unloaded into them and being able to one-shot you from miles away.
Tho the last one could be skill related, still annoying!
