XBLA Minecraft has sold nearly 4.5 Million

Minecraft was launched May 9 onto XBLA and within 24 hours it had sold over 400,000 copies. Since launching it has sold between 40,000 – 60,000 copies every week and during a period in August it was reportedly selling 17,000 per day!

Now according to Mojang's statistics, at the end of November the game had sold over 4.4 Million.

With a bit of good luck the XBLA game might make it to 5 Million before the end of the year, that would be very impressive!

It's worth noting that Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is developed by 4J Studios, a UK team that created the Xbox Arcade versions of Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie

They did very well with minecraft Xbox 360 edition. Good job Notch and Mojang. I just wish they released updates more often.

Pimpstar thats a lot i played this a game a few times at a friends but i have to be honest i don't like it but seems like its doing well


All depends on the type of person. Good game when your bored or drunk.


Or when you need to relax from all the rage in CoD.

Its not as mainstream as any of the CoDs or Halo 4 though. Over 1 billion sales on black ops 2 already
