Angry Birds 3D animated movie coming 2016

Rovio the makers of Angry Birds have confirmed that a movie based on their famous game will be released in 2016.

John Cohen, who had previously worked on films such as Iron Man, Ice Age and Dispicable Me will produce the upcoming movie.

"I've personally spent countless hours playing the Angry Birds games over the last few years, which I can now happily justify as research for the movie." said Cohen

Since its launch three years ago, Angry Birds has been downloaded over one billion times!

How are they going to make a movie off of such a simple arcade game? They should have made a movie off of a game with an actual story behind it like 343i did. I just honestly don't see how this movie is going to work out besides the fact that it will probably be aimed at little kids.

Oh gawd why. Why not make a movie based off a game with an actual story? And the characters couldn't be any worse designed for cinematic works.
