Gears of War Judgement shakes things up a bit

The lovely folks over at Joystiq seem to have gotten access to the new Gears of War: Judgement game and have been playing through it.

They've reported that the old control system is gone and has now been replaced with a faster and hopefully sleeker system, which holds more similarities with other modern shooter games. Tapping Y will now change your main weapon and grenades can be thrown directly from the bumper.

The campaign mode tells its story from Kilo squad, who are bound in chains and being held at a military tribunal. Kilo squad contains the familiar duo Baird and Cole, plus new characters major Garron Paduk and Sofia Hendrick.

Also of high interest is the new scoring system, just like many mobile games has a 3 star rating system. Players will be given optional but lucrative events within a mission aimed at guiding the story according to Kilo squads recollection of events. As well as the new Smart Spawn System which will try to keep replaying missions fresh by making enemy spawn locations random.

Gears of War Judgement is set 30 days after emergence day, the time when the locust rose and attempted to destroy humanity.

Lite The new controller layout is a joke. Why on earth would you change something that works perfectly and in a balanced way. every one is used to the previous layout. Its just so stupid. Just like epic.

I mean seriously, your already talking trash about the game just because they changed one detail!
I honestly dont think anybody is gonna make you buy there games, but for you to disrespect a great company just because of a new controller layout is quite rediculous. I find it hirlarious when I read the little rage comments from you randys about gow4 and blops2, why dont you stop ***** and go make your own game if you dont like what there doing, your post was completely worthless.

Talk trash when you can makr a game to rival gow, becuase honestly theres not to many that can.

why are you trolling on him when you dont even have a good response to it, also he's right i dont like the new control scheme either i feel like if cliffy b was still there working on it it might have kept the thing that made it gears i mean it just makes it more difficult to swap between all your guns unless they are lowering it to just two guns now which would make the game just not like how gears should be. if you really have a problem with someone speaking their mind why dont you stop speaking yours i understand that i live in the US and here we have the right to freedom of speech but that doesnt mean you should always bash on people for giving cricism towards a game that isnt even yours to defend because obviously you didnt make it grow up kid

I have always been a Gears fan, but Gears of War 3 disappointed me. I don't think I will be getting this game.

For campaign yes. MP not so much. Pretty disappointed in what they've done.

I mean I'll still buy it but I probably won't enjoy it as much as GoW 1 and 3. Not 2, I'm sure most of you know why.
