Report: Microsoft 'in talks for $3 billion Dell deal'

4.5
Microsoft is in talks to invest $1 billion to $3 billion in the PC maker Dell, according to a CNBC report.

The buyout would give Microsoft a controlling share in Dell, which is one of the major hardware companies Microsoft relies upon to sell its products to.
Sources also suggest that the investment would make sense because of Microsoft's recent entry in to the hardware market, with their Surface Tablets.

With Dell in their pockets, Microsoft would also gain supplies for for laptops, PCs, notebooks and even more tablets.

Dell also owns gaming hardware company, Alienware, which as you may know, assembles custom desktops and laptops, as well as computer accessories such as headsets, mice and keyboards.

i think the main thing microsoft have done wrong recently is making windows 8 a full OS on proper PCs such as laptops and desktops, unless you pay out for a touch screen it doesnt flow or feel right, on tablets, phones and small devices the operating system of W8 does feel nice and fluid and is a nice change from Ios stylings but on a main computer they were getting it bang on with XP/W7 and now theyve gone and mucked up again.

although buying into dell will be good as they can market there stuff on a wider scale than it is already

phlegm I don't like Microsoft Tablets, and now there is going to be more! Just go with the iPad, it's expensive, but (I think) it's the best.

iPad its not the best tablet in the market. In my opinion the iPad is an iPod Touch XL. I also think that Microsoft surface its the best tablet in the market. Its way faster than iPad and it also includes a great feature that iPad does not have and that is USB 3.0 ports. Within the time you use the tablet you will know that the OS is simple and way better than iOS.
