Halo Infinite Has Reportedly Been Played by Over 30 Million People

Halo Infinite has traveled a rocky road since its launch about a couple of years ago. In spite of critical praise in the immediate aftermath of its release, the shooter drew plenty of criticisms for its lackluster post-launch support in the months afterward, while more recently, its fifth season has brought about something of a turnaround both in player engagement and reception from the community. In spite of the inconsistencies that have weighed it down, however, it has nonetheless proven to be quite a popular game.

As spotted by Exputer, Ben F. – who was product and insights manager at 343 Industries for nearly three years before his departure from the studio in January this year – has mentioned on his LinkedIn profile that Halo Infinite gained over 30 million unique users. You can view a screencap below.

Of course, that number is likely as of January at the latest, which means the game’s current lifetime player count could be even higher. It’s worth keeping in mind though, that with Halo Infinite being available via Game Pass and its multiplayer being free-to-play that number doesn’t equate to sales.

At last count, within a couple of months of its release, Halo Infinite had crossed 20 million players, so while momentum has certainly slowed down, it seems like the shooter has nonetheless managed to keep pulling in new players at a decent rate.

Halo Infinite is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
