Bethesda hiring for 'unannounced next-gen console game'

Elder Scrolls developer Bethesda Games is looking for staff to work on an unannounced next-gen console title.

The job listing, which is titled 'Future Generation Console Programmer' is revealed on Bethesda's parent company site, ZeniMax.

"Bethesda Game Studios is looking for experienced programmers to work on cutting-edge technology for an unannounced game on future-generation consoles."

The listing states that you must have at least 5 years of game development experience, particularly on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. And experience with DirectX 11 is also a plus.

It has to be Fallout and if it is then they may have coop because they couldnt have coop b4 because of the console but now they may have a chance to put in coop because of the new consoles

to me this is VERY OLD news because i looked at their job listings back in like September or October and I saw that as one of the positions.

Betheda didn't develop Fallout 1 or 2 or New Vegas so i'm really hoping they let Obsidian AKA Black Isle do the next 1 again as it (New Vegas) was a much better game ... Todd Howard and his team do a great job with TES no doubt , but Fallout is not their's , owning a copyright doesn't make you an expert on the Fallout universe. The darker tone of New Vegas brought it back to it's roots. Fallout 3 did well because most people don't even know the other 2 games or any of the company history.
IMO, Fallout 3 was better in story line, but new vegas had more weapons and more everything

TopNotchKiNG Well they have already confirmed a sequel to Dishonored. Also they are making The Elder Scrolls Online so unless they bring that toconsole which is highly unlikely, they will not be making a new TES game for a few years. They have also teased recently a possible Fallout 4, but everbody seems to have forgotten about Prey 2, and Bethesda had also confirmed a sequel to Rage. They have alot of big games there currently working on, but I strongly belive that it will either be Fallout 4, Rage 2, or Dishonored 2. If they make Fallout, hopefull they do and they manage to throw in some coop with more detailed terrain, more enemies and more guns!


If they really do make the next Fallout then it's a sad day.
