No need to wait four more years for the next Far Cry

According to the Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, "fans will certainly not have to wait four more years for the next Far Cry." This is largely due to the fact that Far Cry 3 has exceeded expectations and has shipped over 4.5 million copies. Ubisoft is on the doing very well and is taking full advantage of the brand formula and gameplay for the series, despite the four year wait between Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 2.

Same. I usually only dump $60 on a game I'll know I'll play the hell out of. ie, CoD, GTA, Borderlands, Halo.

Far Cry 3 seems like a game I'd play though and never touch again. I wish I had a blockbuster near me or something, so I could atleast rent it.
Get Gamefly maybe but in far cry there more thing then beating it.

Well, i hated Farcry 2 because of the characters,story and ******* malaria, but Farcry 3 made me 1000g it and i still find it super fun. trust me,its worth a buy :)


Yes, you should definitely pick up FC3. And I am willing to bet FC4 will be even better considering Ubisoft now knows what their fans like.

XeJames Hopefully if they do produce Far Cry 4 and release it faster than the third instalment, that it is up to par with the gamers' expectations, and preferably exceed them.
