Rumor: PS4 to be bundled with next-gen PS Eye.

According to sources, Sony is "almost sure" to be bundling a next-gen PlayStation Eye device with every PlayStation 4.

It is referred to as 'Dual Camera', and is said to contain a pair of wide angle cameras, which offer a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Sound is also processed by a four microphone array working at 48 Khz.

Sources also claim that the Dual Camera supports 'head and hand tracking' as new game inputs, but they are unsure if it will support body tracking.

The Dual Camera is also going to be capable of supporting video chat, and recognizing and signing users into the PS4.

There was, and as far as I know, it was a huge failure.

i agree, games like this are typically for social gatherings or family fun nights, etc. i don't really find anything fun about them, the wii wasn't thrilling for me at all.

It should be optional, not in a bundle. You are right, it will just increase the prices.

No... Not really, Sony actually created the first one, It was called the 'Eye-toy'.

If anything, kinect was copied.
