New Call of Duty confirmed for Q4 2013, 'will raise the bar even higher.'

Surprise, surprise, Activision has recently confirmed their plans to release a new Call of Duty game in Q4 2013 (October - December)

"The Call of Duty franchise continues to set the bar for innovation and we expect a new Call of Duty game in development for 2013 to raise that bar even higher," said CFO Dennis Durkin during a financials conference call on Thursday.

He also added: "There is increased volatility this year due to the ongoing console transition, which makes predicting the future more challenging than during normal uses in the cycle. For Call of Duty, consistent with our past practices, we are planning for the main line release in Q4 to be down versus 2012"

Many expect that the next Call of Duty is going to be another from the Modern Warfare set of games.

All you people saying 'it's the same every year' really need to get off multiplayer and play some zombies, I have followed the zombies story since WaW it is amazing, but still black ops 2 is so much better than MW3. Treyarch actually put effort into their games. Look how much has changed on multiplayer. You all say 'it's the same just new guns and maps' but they have changed loads in multiplayer. Finally if you was making a game year after year that earned over $1 billion dollars would you stop making it?
