New Call of Duty confirmed for Q4 2013, 'will raise the bar even higher.'

Surprise, surprise, Activision has recently confirmed their plans to release a new Call of Duty game in Q4 2013 (October - December)

"The Call of Duty franchise continues to set the bar for innovation and we expect a new Call of Duty game in development for 2013 to raise that bar even higher," said CFO Dennis Durkin during a financials conference call on Thursday.

He also added: "There is increased volatility this year due to the ongoing console transition, which makes predicting the future more challenging than during normal uses in the cycle. For Call of Duty, consistent with our past practices, we are planning for the main line release in Q4 to be down versus 2012"

Many expect that the next Call of Duty is going to be another from the Modern Warfare set of games.

I hope they bring back some stuff from older CoD's especially CoD 4, I know people want new things but the last few CoD's really have been a joke. The CoD franchise has really gone downhill and if this is another bad game I can't see people even bothering with it anymore IMO.

Beet I am probably the only one on this site that has yet to even play black ops 2. Everyone said I would still end up getting it anyways.... but i didn't. I have not even played it at one of my friends houses. I have been busy with my nice and slow transition from the Xbox 360 to the PC(Which has far superior FPS games that make CoD a joke). Now I will most likely do the same with MW4.


COD isn't designed to be more than an arcade shooter.

If you aren't buying it who cares if its another MW or not.
@Everyone else, if COD was that bad it wouldn't be one of the most sold games each year, and always be the most played game on XBL. A bad fps game Homefront, made by THQ, and now they're out of business, coincidence?


I don't think Call of Duty is a bad game at all. It's great. I just don't play nowadays. I play Fifa once or twice a week and that's it... I played Call of Duty up till MW3 and I think the story is done now and they should leave the Modern Warfare series to RIP now.
