Crysis 3 Beta reaches over 3 million downloads.

EA has just announced the milestone of downloads that they have had for the demo of the new Crysis 3 set to come out February 23rd of this year. Right now, EA is worried about turning three million downloads, into three million sold copies.

In 2011, Crysis 2 was one of the most pirated games of the year. This could make EA loose lots of money if it happens again. Preorders have been looking promising for the game though. There has been a 40% increase of preorders this year on the game than the previous one. EA is trying to make sure the beta runs as smooth as possible so the numbers don't go down.

It would take a 10/10, great, totally new game to outsell call of duty. COD gets sales just for the name. I personally think Crysis is a good game, but no COD outseller. And that doesn't mean I think COD is better, it means that COD is more "known".

Probably not, but yes I personally think it will be much, much better that Call of Duty. Call of Duty is a reused engine while CryEngine is worked on to a rediculous amount. They push the xbox hardware more than any other game company has ever tried.

as long as this is launched with DX11 support(im looking at u crysis 2) i wont complain beta looks amazing running on my nvidia gtx 680. BTW this game was made for PCs so dont expect much from the inferior consoles.
