Proving the timeless power of the IP, an affirmational Tweet from the official Spyro the Dragon account has caused a stir, fueling speculation that another entry in the series might be in the offing. The Spyro: Reignited Trilogy was released in 2018 on PS4, and outside of an appearance in Crash Team Rumble, we haven't seen much of our scaly pal lately, and it's well past time for a follow-up. The account posted an image of the charismatic Spyro smiling, inlaid with text that inspires: "You gotta believe!"

This is the lovable lizard's 2024 motto, a vibe we can get behind if it means more draconic action. Of course, with the series most recently handled by developer Toys for Bob and published by Activision, there's a chance that whatever comes next could be an Xbox exclusive. Parent company Microsoft recently completed its acquisition of Activision as part of an industry-shaking $69 billion acquisition. We want to believe, and will be watching this space closely as the year progresses.
