We are writing a lot tonight, folks! We have more information about the PlayStation 4's specs as it comes out from the livestream!

Now to get in to the stuff most of you have been waiting for - The system specifications. I'm not a tech-head myself, but I believe this may make you change your mind about buying the PS4 if you was thinking about ignoring it!

PlayStation 4 system specifications:

8-core 64-bit x86 "Jaguar" CPU developed by AMD and a Radeon GPU with the capability of terrorizing televisions with 1.84 TFLOPS of gaming goodness.

PlayStation 4 includes a Blu-ray drive that spins game discs a brisk 6X and 8X for DVDs. Additional specs in the release note the, already revealed, 8GB of unified GDDR5 RAM along with 802.11n WiFi capability, USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 2.1 and ports for optical audio, HDMI and even legacy analog AV hook-ups. Though the console will have internal storage, Sony did not detail its size.


That's it for the specs, I am sure some of the more vital information is missing - that information will be added when we can get it!

FrenzyRG Sony actually surprised me. We all know the kind of mistreatment we get from sony thoes who are playstation users...They never care about the other side, they only care about the money but this year it looks like they worked really hard on it and I personally think this console is going to be amazing.


I agree but the only let down side is the 8GB RAM


Let down!? What more do you want? An i7 extreme processor!? lol Nah im kidding but seriously 8Gb is more than plenty!


If used correctly it needs a minimum of 8GB of RAM.
