Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin's Creed Red is currently aiming to be released by March 2025, which means that it could launch within the next year.

Although there's not that much we know about the game yet, one of the most exciting releases of 2024 is without a doubt Assassin's Creed Red, which finally gives us an AC game set in Feudal Japan after years of fan requests. It's been speculated and said for some time that it's going to release this year, something that Ubisoft has confirmed is close to the case.

As reported by VGC, Ubisoft just released a report on its third-quarter sales for 2024's fiscal year which, beyond giving us some details on how recent games have sold, also included some details on the release plans for several of its games. The biggest of these is Assassin's Creed Red, which the report confirms is going to release in 2025's fiscal year.



Although seeing "2025" might make you panic a bit, the fiscal year runs between April and March, which means that Assassin's Creed Red is aiming to release sometime between April 2024 and March 2025. That means that Red could live up to the reports of launching this year and that, even if it doesn't, it'll only be a short wait until it does end up releasing.

Beyond confirming that Assassin's Creed Red is aiming to release in the next 14 months, the fiscal report also revealed that Star Wars Outlaws is still aiming to launch by the end of 2024 and will likely act as one of Ubisoft's big releases of the year. There's still no specifics on that release date yet, but it seems like it's going to be later in the year at this point considering we've only seen one trailer for it.

“Moving forward, we’re gearing up for a very promising line-up for fiscal year 2025, including the upcoming release of Star Wars Outlaws in 2024, which should be a major milestone in the video game industry, especially given the undeniable appeal of this legendary franchise that will be coming for the first time to the Open World territory, as well as Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, set in the long-awaited feudal Japan universe."

If Ubisoft does manage to release both Assassin's Creed Red and Star Wars Outlaws in 2024, then it will hopefully be one of the studio's biggest years in some time, as it just released Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (one of the series' best games) last month.
