Gears of War: Judgment offers 'VIP Season Pass' for $20

Epic Games is following in the footsteps of Gears of War 3, offering up a season pass for multiplayer maps and other content in Gears of War: Judgment.

The VIP Season Pass, available for 1600 Microsoft Points ($20) when Gears of War: Judgment launches, will include six multiplayer maps, two game modes and "nine exclusive unlocks," including a permanent double XP modifier, five weapon skins and four armor skins. VIPs also get early access to add-on multiplayer maps.

The Gears of War 3 Season Pass totaled $30 and covered four different DLC installments, running the gamut from multiplayer maps to singleplayer DLC campaigns.

Because many other games just want money, like CoD, you have to pay $50 for the Season Pass which I find ridiculous.

Yea, they are.


You save like, $10, but the maps themselves are overpriced for what you actually get. The only map packs that are worth it are the Zombies maps.

I find that the reason they did this for this game, is to encourage more sales. For example, a title like COD, has no need to drop its price of season pass's because it knows it has a big enough fan base behind it to contribute to their sales.


and it also tricks people into paying for something that is yes worth it but a little more expensive then necessary

agreed, nowadays people will believe anything they hear and buy anything new just to be "in".
