EA CFO suggests 'new Battlefield' running on PS4

During a recent investor conference call, Electronic Arts chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen specifically referenced having seen "the new Battlefield" running on a PlayStation 4. EA has not announced Battlefield 4 as coming to Sony's new console - but it isn't unrealistic to imagine a new Battlefield on the new console anyway.

Jorgensen denied the implication that EA's absence from Sony's PlayStation 4 reveal conference meant their support of the new console wouldn't surface until 2014 or 2015. "I'd say between now and E3, you're going to see a lot of stuff from us," he said.

"The technical power on the platform is going to allow us to do a substantial amount of things that we've never done before"
"I've seen the new Battlefield and it is stunning, I mean it is just amazing; what the imagination of the game developers are allowed to do with that much power."

I think most people would have expected the next Battlefield to be for the PS4. Considering how well the graphics and such were with BF3 on the current-gen consoles, image how good BF4 will look on the PS4 and Xbox 720.

DubleJayJ I seriously hope this **** destroys CoD, It's not like it hasn't, but it needs to be more severe this time. The graphics will be just amazing. If Crysis 3 looks this good on consoles, just imagine what it can look like on the new consoles.


Ahh I remember these comments when they were announcing BF3, COD killed it,and COD will continue killing it. The only thing that will kill COD is itself. 3 Call of Duty games are ahead of BF3 on XBL for having more numbers of online players, you call that destroyed? Lol

ME0W I didn't like battlefield 3 all that much, hopefully the next one is better.


Battlefield BC 2 was much more enjoyable than BF3.


I liked both games very much, I did not seem to play BC2 much though.
