Xbox Live members with Silver accounts in the UK can indulge in a free weekend of Xbox LIVE which kicks off on Friday, March 8, starting 12:00 GMT and lasting until 23:59 GMT on Sunday, March 10 - And all of this is thanks to Bioshock Infinite.

A large variety of multiplayer events will be happening throughout the weekend, starting with "Rockstar Friday" where developers from the New York outfit will be online and competing in games of GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption and Midnight Club LA. Other multiplayer events for games such as Halo 4, Borderlands 2, Tomb Raider, FIFA Ultimate Team, Forza Horizon, Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 will also take place.


It has been confirmed by a Microsoft employee that this is for UK residents only.

They've made $1M+ from Xbox 360, why can't they just quit trying to get so much money and actually make it fun and better for the community. We all can't afford $50 a year plus $50 per video game or $20 used. This has to stop, especially when they go and ban you when you payed $100s of dollars on xbox.

I'm guessing they have enough sales in other areas, and they want to promote it in the UK.

Hall I'm gonna fly to UK just for the weekend, rent a house, and play xbox on a silver account, then come home.


make a new account then change it's region on the xbox website. When Australia had a free weekend for Australia day I switch the region from Australia to USA. Which stop me playing online with that account

because if you don't have gold just change the region and you will get the gold?
