Wii U system update improves overall stability, big update coming in April

The Wii U received yet another firmware update this week, though it is apparently a minor one ahead of a larger feature update, which Nintendo says is coming in April. This update, for firmware version 2.1.3 U, brings "further improvements to overall system stability."

The larger feature update, which Nintendo previously announced for this spring, will bring Virtual Console support to the Wii U, launching with a selection of NES and SNES games.

ME0W Nintendo should really try to make a console similar to the xbox and the playstation.


That way they can actually COMPETE with the other consoles.


Either do that or make retro consoles again, that would make a LOT of sales. I think MS and Sony have already claimed the throne.


I definitely wouldn't be buying a retro console, if I wanted older games i'd get an emulator or just play the game on it's intended system. And all Nintendo does is recreate the Mario games and a few others and release it on their next gen console.

No, were just expressing our opinion out there to the community. Did not know that it was bad and made us Fanboys.

I actuallt thought the Wii U was pretty good, but that was when it was in its HoneyMoon State. To me, it got pretty boring after awhile. All of these Firmware updates should have been put in place before the console was released. I feel like they rushed the product.

TakeTheDamnPiLL well, i won't be seeing this for a while with the new consoles coming out.
The next generation consoles will completely dominate the Wii and Wii U.
