Tomb Raider studio confirms work on new movie

According to Variety the masterminds behind the recently launched Tomb Raider reboot are working closely with filmmakers tasked with creating a film reboot. They are very optimistic that they will be able to work with this IP to create a very authentic and down to earth protagonist. Their hopes is to create a new story arc the blends effortlessly with the newly released games, they plan to accomplish this by working closely with Crystal Dynamics during production.
