Microsoft to discontinue the Gold Family Pack

4.3

Microsoft has confirmed to Joystiq that they have discontinued the popular Gold family pack. What this means for current Family gold pack customers is that their family center settings management suite is still available for them... at this time.

When asked why this bundle which for just $99.99 gave the user four year long gold subscriptions they responded the following:

"We continually evaluate our business focus and work to offer services that make the most sense for our customers and Xbox."

We need as much money as possible, better just continue to stangle people in this economy.

Hah it does! Yeah they didn't make any money off of this, if anything they lost money.. Instead of getting $240/year from 4 tradition xbl gold accounts they are only getting $99/year. Would you continue to lose that kind of money?

Kind I never really knew anyone that bought it anyways.

I didn't think so either, but it looks like a lot of people actually did, and looking at it, I should of done the same.
Not many families bought it, but there's people that used this as a special deal where they would get 4 friends to all pay for the $100.

Oh, that's what they did. I thought they bought it and sold it off to others.
