Microsoft to discontinue the Gold Family Pack

Microsoft has confirmed to Joystiq that they have discontinued the popular Gold family pack. What this means for current Family gold pack customers is that their family center settings management suite is still available for them... at this time.

When asked why this bundle which for just $99.99 gave the user four year long gold subscriptions they responded the following:

"We continually evaluate our business focus and work to offer services that make the most sense for our customers and Xbox."

Yea, when I used to be an Ambassador I got questions about this a few times a day.

A decent amount of people did use it. It was a nice feature to split the payments with someone else like a friend.
