Microsoft to discontinue the Gold Family Pack

Microsoft has confirmed to Joystiq that they have discontinued the popular Gold family pack. What this means for current Family gold pack customers is that their family center settings management suite is still available for them... at this time.

When asked why this bundle which for just $99.99 gave the user four year long gold subscriptions they responded the following:

"We continually evaluate our business focus and work to offer services that make the most sense for our customers and Xbox."

Think about it you and a couple of friends could do this and each pitch in 25 dollars and you could all have a year of gold! I never thought about it like this till now.
