Bungie not afraid of SimCity style disaster for Destiny

Bungie has explained via a blog post that they are not afraid of experiencing a SimCity style launch debacle citing the following

"This isn't our first rodeo"
The blog post continues to say "Bungie is no stranger to anxious mobs of players who rush home after a midnight launch and put our best-laid plans to the test." Bungie states that it hopes to "focus on some less frightening but equally important challenges" for now, worrying about release day problems at a later time.

This is clearly a swipe at the recent series of issues experienced by EA/Maxis during the launch of SimCity.

How do you think Bungie will handle launch day of Destiny compared to how badly SimCity was handled?

Bungie will handle the launch of Destiny just fine. It may be a little bit laggy like how Reach was just because there were a lot of people online as well as some few bugs and glitches, but for the most part Bungie will do well.

They Seriously? This is Bungie we're talking about here, there will be no problems.


I love Bungie but they never made a game without problems. If there were no problems then there wouldn't be any patches.

Well at last EA gave everyone who has purchased SimCity a free EA game. Who can complain about that. Bungie is rubbish anyway
