Microsoft report reveals over 75k law enforcement requests in 2012

Similar to Google's Transparency Report Microsoft has released a report detailing the amount of information requests by law enforcement for user information. They have stated that they intend to released a report detailing this information every six months from here on in. The company's report suggests that they received 75,378 reports in 2012, if they had acted on every request it would have affected 137,424 unique accounts or two one-hundredths of one percent of the entire userbase.



Of the requests received only 82% resulted in information disclosure to law enforcement. The full report can be found here.
