Originally released in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 experienced a disastrous launch. The game was rife with bugs and missing features, and at one point, was even removed entirely from the PlayStation Store. However, in the time since then, developer CD Projekt Red continued to improve the game through multiple patches and a next-gen update. Now, the reviews on Steam are showcasing the turnaround.
'Overwhelmingly Positive' Has CDPR Celebrating
Taking a look at Steam, 95 percent of the 7,079 user reviews filed in the last 30 days are positive. This is what has led to the overall "Overwhelmingly Positive" classification. In other words, a touch over 6,700 users believe this game is amazing.
As for the game as a whole, 83 percent of the 650,793 reviews filed by users at the time of writing are considered positive, making Cyberpunk 2077 a "Very Positive" title as per Steam's designations.
Paweł Sasko, associate game director at CDPR, took to social media to celebrate the achievement.
You can't imagine how much it means to me I have never been close to giving up and always believed this could be somehow possible, but never thought I will actually see it.
Thank you so much for the second chance chooms
