According to leaker Lunatic Ignus on X, Game Science‘s scrumptious-looking PS5 epic Black Myth: Wukong features over 160 types of enemies and 80 different bosses to slug it out with.

In addition to having a diverse bestiary, the leaker also revealed that New Game Plus will ship with Black Myth: Wukong at launch, and there will be multiple endings for players to unlock, suggesting decent replay value. Finally, they claim that Black Myth is ‘slightly easier’ than the Soulsborne games.

Black Myth: Wukong is rooted in Chinese mythology and based on Journey to the West, and takes the form of an action-RPG where players follow the Destined One and encounter powerful enemies as you work to confront your destiny. Black Myth: Wu Kong features a stunning world filled with ancient discoveries, with Heroic Monkey able to master powerful spells and uncover the stories behind a variety of characters.

Game Science has confirmed an August 20, 2024 release date for Black Myth: Wukong on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
