New iPhone reportedly entering production this quarter

Apple will begin production of a new iPhone similar in size and shape to its latest model in the second quarter of 2013, according to Wall Street Journal sources said to be familiar with the matter.

The publication suggests this would indicate a summer launch for the smartphone.
It also reports that Apple continues to work with its Asian manufacturing partners on a less expensive four-inch iPhone that could be released later in 2013.

It claims the device will likely use a different casing from the premium model and that Apple has been experimenting with different colour shells.

Additionally, it says the iPhone maker is expected to release the latest iOS operating system around the middle of this year.

It was recently claimed that Apple used last month's GDC to inform developers of its plans to release an official iOS gamepad.

yea but people are stupid enough to buy the next gen phone just because its iphone just so they can show it off and say yea i got the new iphone or be like #teamiphone people are just ignorant.

Hmm, you mean compared to samsung, who have a whole range of phones out? And are releasing another galaxy this year? Because they are so different? Jeez apple release 1 phone a year, they have released 6 maybe 7 phones over that many years, compared to companies like samsung who will bring out 7 crappy ones a year, and yet apple are money gready? I would usually agree, that apple are like that, but when it comes to their phones its just not true, its just butthurt galaxy nerds who have to try and dig durt on apple because it happens to be more popular, its the same with everything now, its just nonsense.

Howsbruno Ugh, its so annoying that they keep making iphones with no big improvments! Honestly I don't see why people keep buying these things. Buy one and you pretty much have them all.
