Call of Duty Black Ops 6 cross-gen launch confirmed

4.3
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 release date will fall in October 2024.

Potential release date were revealed when Xbox and PlayStation Store listings for the game were updated ahead of a Black Ops 6 Direct presentation on Sunday.

The Xbox Store is currently listing an October 25 release date for the game, while the PlayStation Store is listing October 17.

The product listings also confirm previous reports that the game will be released for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC, with cross-gen bundles among the available editions.

There will also be a pricier Vault Edition which includes open beta early access, an Operator pack and BlackCell (1 Season), among other features.

As a first-party Microsoft title, Black Ops 6 will also be available on Game Pass for Xbox consoles and PC at launch.

“Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterised by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower,” reads an official description of the game. “With a mind-bending narrative and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

“The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

“In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

“Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favourite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.”

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4 launched in late May, introducing a variety of new multiplayer, Zombies and battle royale content.

Activision recently prevailed in a lawsuit against Call of Duty cheats manufacturer EngineOwning, with a federal court awarding the publisher $14.7 million in damages.

Federation They seriously need to stop making games for last gen because of this we are limited!

I agree, they should've stopped making last gen an option like they did with the 360 and PS3 once the shortage of PS5 and XSX was over.

I don't think this will be a problem, you'll probably have an option to disable playing with players on last gen or something like that...
