Xbox has started refunding players who bought cancelled Redfall DLC

Microsoft has reportedly started refunding players who purchased cancelled Redfall DLC.

The content in question was bundled with the base game in the form of the Bite Back Edition, or could be purchased separately as a $26.99 add-on.

It was originally set to include the Redfall Hero Pass, offering two additional heroes with unique powers and gameplay, among other content.

However, it was cancelled following a disappointing reception to the title and Microsoft’s decision to close the game’s developer, Arkane Austin.

Windows Central was tipped off that Microsoft has started refunding the full cost of the DLC on both Xbox and Steam, with refunds seemingly going out in waves.

Users who bought a physical version of the Redfall Bite Back Edition can contact Bethesda customer support for information on how to request a refund.

The final Redfall update was released in late May, adding a long-promised offline mode to the vampire shooter.

It also introduced the ability to pause the game in single-player mode, a new reputation bar called Community Standing, and new boss-focused Nests which include modified vampires.

“We’re thankful for the millions of players who have joined us,” the game’s developer said at the time. “From everyone at Arkane Austin, thank you for playing our games and loving our worlds, it’s been an honor to deliver these experiences to you.”
