Speaking with The Guardian, Hidetaka Miyazaki said that he wasn’t at all against an adaptation of Elden Ring, whether that be a movie or another entertainment medium.
I don’t see any reason to deny another interpretation or adaptation of Elden Ring, a movie for example. But I don’t think myself, or From Software, have the knowledge or ability to produce something in a different medium. So that’s where a very strong partner would come into play. We’d have to build a lot of trust and agreement on whatever it is we’re trying to achieve, but there’s interest, for sure.
Elden Ring is a collaborative effort between FromSoftware and Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin. The game launched worldwide in February 2022 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, and has gone on to attract over 25 million players globally.
