Unfamiliar Xbox dashboard spotted in Top Gear video

An unfamiliar Xbox dashboard has been spotted in a Top Gear video for an upcoming driverless taxi.

The dashboard appears for a couple of seconds in a video published last week, which offers the first look at a new robotaxi being created by Verne, a consortium part-led by Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac.

The two-seater, which will include a 43 inch screen, aims to “emulate the feeling that you have in your own living room”, according to Verne.

It’s unclear if the Xbox dashboard in the video offers the first look at an upcoming release, or if it was created just for the prototype vehicle for demonstration purposes.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer recently appeared to all but confirm speculation that Microsoft is considering launching a handheld gaming device.

When it was put to Spencer that Xbox has been building its business around the strategy of being where the players are, be that on PC or more recently on other console platforms, he told IGN: “So we should have a handheld? I think we should have a handheld too.”

Asked if he wanted to comment further on the subject, Spencer said: “I don’t want to say anything. I think you’ll have to have Sarah [Bond] on, our president of Xbox, which is awesome. But the future for us in hardware is pretty awesome, and the work that the team is doing around different form factors, different ways to play, I’m incredibly excited about.”

isnt top gear a movie/tv show? which when theres a scene people are gaming its usually fake gameplay with the system not powered up,
at least its nicer ui then the current ugly one,
but it looks like its the mobile cloud based system, not an actual dashboard.
