Ubisoft got together with New Regency all the way back in 2013 to talk about making a movie out of its latest hit franchise, Watch Dogs.

More than a decade later, that movie has finally made it to a place where it has a cast, a director, and as of Wednesday, has officially started filming.

In a tweet from the official Ubisoft Twitter account, a photo taken from set of the clapperboard being used with director Mathieu Turi named under the title of the film, which seems to be the first confirmation the movie will be called “Watch Dogs.”

As a cheeky reference to Watch Dogs and its setting, Ubisoft captioned the photo with the old “Lights, camera, action!” phrase written out like an executable file.

With the recent rise in video game to film and TV adaptations, a Watch Dogs movie feels like a good fit for revitalizing a series that’s fallen out of the spotlight.

Almost like it was meant to wallow in production purgatory for 11 years before the ball finally got rolling on it.
