Now, the Fallout: London devs reveal that the mod is undergoing QA testing. This is being done by its partners at GOG, the site that will distribute the mod when it is ready to be played by fans. They say they are waiting for the "final green light" from GOG before moving forward, but when they get that approval, the mod will be "good to go".
"There has been a lot of speculation regarding our upcoming release, and we wanted to open up and clear the air for our core supporters," reads a statement from the Fallout: London team.
They explain that right now, the mod is in GOG's hands as it undergoes testing. They also confirm that it will have its own installer, which will work regardless of what storefront you purchased Fallout 4 from.
"It is in all of our interests that this final QA process is carried out in full, and we are very thankful that GOG is assisting," the statement continues. "While it may seem like not a lot is going on, we can assure you that the heads of the department have been working non-stop behind the scenes during this time to make the release build as good as it can be."
Fallout: London was initially set to launch on April 23 of this year. However, this was delayed after Bethesda suddenly revealed that the long-awaited next-gen update for Fallout 4 would drop on April 25. If the Fallout: London release went ahead as planned, it would have been completely incompatible with the new Fallout 4 build, forcing those who want to play to avoid the update or try and revert it. Instead, the Fallout: London team decided to put the extra work in to make the mod work with the new version of Fallout 4.
Due to the mod's size, it will be distributed by GOG, not Nexus Mods. However, you will be able to play it regardless of where it was purchased. However, it won't be available on console.
