Microsoft pulls one of its new software security updates

4.7
On Tuesday, Microsoft released a number of security patches for its software products as part of its regular monthly "Patch Tuesday" event. Now, the company has removed one of those security updates from its download center after receiving reports that it was causing some issues with some Windows users.

In a post on the Microsoft Security Response Center blog, the company said:

We are aware that some of our customers may be experiencing difficulties after applying security update 2823324, which we provided in security bulletin MS13-036 on Tuesday, April 9. We’ve determined that the update, when paired with certain third-party software, can cause system errors. As a precaution, we stopped pushing 2823324 as an update when we began investigating the error reports, and have since removed it from the download center.
Microsoft says that users who have already installed the security update should uninstall it and has offered several ways to do so in a new security bulletin. However, the company did say that the update does "... not result in any data loss nor affect all Windows customers." In the meantime, MS13-036 will continue to be pushed out automatically to Windows users but without the troublesome security update.

-LOST- What programs were the updates for?

Glad to see even staff have no idea what this is about...
@Admins, if you could provide more information to news articles, that'd be amazing.

Is an update for Windows Software (Windows 8, 7, Vista and Windows 8 Pro for the Surface Pro) with errors that it obviously were release via Windows Update. They already took it out of Windows Update but people with automatic updating or people that manually update their PC everyday have it installed and Microsoft recommends to remove it. This is important because if you are having problems with your PC lately it possible mean that is the update.

If you want to remove it:
-Go to Control Panel
-Click Uninstall a program
-Up left side click View installed updates
-Look for a "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2823324)" (If you don't find it then you don't have it)
-Uninstall it (Restart if necessary)

Wagering I wonder how much security the new Xbox will have...Hopefully A LOT.

Well the current Xbox has a lot. The next one is gonna prob have wayyyyyy more

im not too sure:/ although it will be pretty secure!

Maybe not. rumors say there use "off the shelf" computer components. Which could make it easier for hackers as they already have experience hacking these components.

It's good to hear that they are stepping their security up. I have heard of a lot of people losing accounts lately
